Crop Image online, free and private

Crop Image cuts away the parts of a photo you do not want: trim edges, frame a face for a profile picture, or cut a screenshot down to what matters. Drag the frame on the image or type the exact size in pixels, then download the result in its original format.

Add your JPG, PNG or WebP image.

Exact and lossless framing

Set the crop to the pixel. PNG stays lossless, transparency is kept, and nothing is stretched or resized.

Frequently asked questions

How do I crop a picture?

Add the image, drag the frame or its corners over the part you want to keep, then click Crop image and download it.

Can I crop to a square for a profile picture?

Yes. Choose Square 1:1 in Aspect ratio: the frame keeps that shape while you move and resize it. 4:5, 9:16 and 16:9 are also available for posts, stories and thumbnails.

Does cropping reduce quality?

No resizing is done: the pixels you keep are copied as they are. PNG stays lossless; JPG and WebP are saved at high quality.

How do I crop to an exact size in pixels?

Type the width and height of the area, and its distance from the left and top edges. To get a smaller image after cropping, open the result in Resize Image.

Is Crop Image on PDFDog really free?

Yes. Crop Image is free to use without an account, and the file you download has no watermark.

Are my files safe?

Your file is processed directly in your browser: it is never uploaded to a server. PDFDog cannot see, keep or share its content.
